The Philly Liar’s Club Teams Up With Doylestown Bookshop to Support Indie Booksellers

The Philly Liars Club will be throwing its second “Truth Tour” event, and you are invited. “Liars Tell the Truth about Clinton Books” is a party at Clinton Books, 33 Main St., Clinton, NJ, featuring fab giveaways, Truth or Lie games, and these Liars Club authors: Marie Lamba, Jonathan Maberry, Keith Strunk, Gregory Frost, Jon McGoran (who writes as D.H. Dublin), and Dennis Tafoya. There will be laughs, mayhem, booksignings, and this party is free! You can call the bookstore at 908-735-8811 for more info or to reserve a copy of an author’s book.

Some of us will be appearing at the Chestnut Hill Book Fest, in Chestnut Hill, PA, with a bunch of my Philly Liars Club author buds. There’ll be too much talking, book signings and some drinking.

“Liars Tell the Truth about Aaron’s Books.” The Philly Liars Club “Truth Tour” continues!

This time we are throwing a party for wonderful indie bookstore Aaron’s Books, 43 S. Broad St., Lititz, PA.

This exciting event, which is free and open to all, will have giveaways, “Truth or Lie” games, general mayhem and book signings with a host of Liars Club writers: Marie Lamba, Jon McGoran (aka D.H. Dublin), Keith Strunk, Merry Jones, Gregory Frost, and Dennis Tafoya. The party goes down during the town’s Second Friday Celebration. The Philly Liars Club threw a very special “Liars Tell the Truth about Womrath’s Bookstore” at Womrath’s Bookstore, 12 Washington Street, Tenafly, NJ to help the folks at Womrath’s celebrate 60 amazing years in business.

April 7th, 2010 we were at the Charles Santore Library, 932 S. 7th Street in Philly, from 6-7:30 p.m.

A bunch of Liars kicked off our Spring Library Tour with this free and freewheeling talk about our latest works, publishing, and why we all need to support our wonderful libraries.

Featured were L.A. Banks, Solomon Jones, Jon McGoran (aka D.H. Dublin), Kelly Simmons, Dennis Tafoya and Merry Jones.

April 17th, 2010 we were at Trappe Book Center in Collegeville, PA on another stop for our Truth Tour.

From 1-3 pm we celebrated one of the area’s bastions of literary community and independence.

At the festivities were Liars Marie Lamba, Gregory Frost, Merry Jones, Dennis Tafoya, Keith Strunk, Jon McGoran, Kelly Simmons and Don Lafferty.

On Sunday, April 18th, 2010 we had a free and free-wheeling panel discussion at the Free Library of Philadelphia’s rockin’ Book Fest. Liars Jonathan Maberry, L. A. Banks, Dennis Tafoya and Edward Pettit were there. It was interesting and informative, with a few lies thrown in. More info is on the festival website.

On May 6th, 2010 you could find a slew of Liars at the Moonstone Arts Center from 7-9 p.m for a free panel talk on writing, the industry and on tips for aspiring writers. On hand were L.A. Banks, Dennis Tafoya, Solomon Jones, Merry Jones, Don Lafferty, Kelly Simmons, Gregory Frost and Jon McGoran.

May 12th, 2010 we continued our Spring Library Tour with a special free panel at the Lucien Blackwell Library in West Philly.

The talk was with L.A. Banks, Solomon Jones, Dennis Tafoya, Gregory Frost, Kelly Simmons and Jon McGoran (D.H. Dublin), and we all celebrated what we love about our libraries. The authors’ books were available for sale as well.

June 19th, 2010 from 1-4 pm, Liars Marie Lamba and Keith Strunk signed books and swapped lies outside Farley’s Bookshop, New Hope, PA. On June 26th from 1-4 p.m. it was Liars Jonathan Maberry and Merry Jones. And on July 17th from 1-4 p.m., Liars Dennis Tafoya and Gregory Frost were there signing and lying. This is a great indie bookstore, honest!

June 22, 2010 from 6-8 pm, The Liars Club will held a free writers workshop at the Free Library of Philadelphia’s Oak Lane branch. On hand were be Solomon Jones, Jonathan Maberry, Jon McGoran, Merry Jones, Keith Strunk and Kelly Simmons.

July 2nd, 2010 we held a fun and freewheeling Liars Club panel at the Chestnut Hill Book Festival in Chestnut Hill, PA.
